Questions people ask
Who can join Cammute?
Anyone with a working company email address and an Indian mobile number. Personal email addresses such as Gmail are not accepted. If your company isn’t listed yet, you can still join and we verify the domain.
How much does a ride cost?
Drivers set their own price, but it can never be more than ₹9 per km of the trip divided by the seats offered. That covers fuel and running costs, not profit.
How do I pay?
Directly to the driver over UPI, from any UPI app, after the ride. Cammute does not hold or move money and takes no commission. Cash is fine too.
Is it legal to share costs like this?
Cammute is for sharing the cost of a trip you were making anyway with colleagues. Drivers can’t charge more than the cost-sharing cap, and Cammute doesn’t operate vehicles or employ drivers.
What happens if I feel unsafe?
Tap SOS in the ride. Your phone dials 112, our safety team is alerted, and your emergency contacts get a text with a live trip link.
Can I use the app in Hindi?
Yes. Switch between English and हिन्दी any time from the app’s settings or the sign-in screen.
