Safety at Cammute

Cammute only works if everyone in the car trusts each other. These are the checks and tools behind every ride.

In an emergency, call 112 first.

Before the ride

  • Every account is checked with a company email and an OTP-verified +91 mobile number.
  • Profiles show the person’s company, photo and ratings from past rides.
  • Drivers add their car, colour and registration number. Check the plate before you get in.
  • Ladies-only rides can be booked only by women.

During the ride

  • The ride starts only after the passenger gives the driver a 4-digit ride code in person.
  • Passengers see the driver’s live location on the map once the ride starts.
  • Share trip sends a live link to anyone, even if they don’t have the app. It stops working when the ride ends.
  • SOS calls 112, alerts the Cammute safety team and texts your emergency contacts with your location.

After the ride

  • Rate each other. Low ratings and reports are reviewed by our team.
  • Phone numbers are hidden in chat, so you never have to share your number.
  • Report a problem from the booking. Our support team replies in the app.

Community guidelines

  • Be on time. If your plans change, cancel early so others can adjust.
  • Prices cover fuel and running costs only. No profit, no surge.
  • Pay the driver promptly after the ride.
  • Treat everyone with respect. Harassment means a permanent ban.
  • Never drive after drinking or while tired, and follow traffic rules.
